What is electronic editing?
Electronic editing is a procedure that requires many skills. It is a task that requires much know-how of software applications and their tools.
In the translation business, there are some companies that offer the electronic editing included on the translation cost; however, we should not confuse Electronic Editing with and acceptable translation visual. Electronic editing in a translation means a document that is as close as possible to the original one.
When a document is supplied in hard copy, the Electronic Editing consists in keeping the text in the same format (font size, type, colors, etc.), number of pages, pictures scanning, illustrations, charts and tables of the original document. When the document is supplied in an electronic copy, we use the most appropriate software for the task according to the customer’s preferences.
We offer Electronic Editing services, Picture Scanning and hard copy conversion into electronic files (OCR).
Files can be sent in almost all type of media - floppy disks, CDs, Internet or applications such as: MS-Word®, PowerPoint®, PageMaker®, FrameMaker®, Ventura®, CorelDraw®, etc.
Translations are sent in hardcopy of different types and sizes according to the customer’s preferences.
